Reflective Recovery Counseling and Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy Services
I provide professional, evidence-based psychotherapy for adults seeking support with psychological distress, trauma-related difficulties, and challenges affecting emotional well-being. My practice offers a confidential and structured therapeutic environment in which individuals can explore their experiences and work toward meaningful psychological change.
When Psychological Difficulties Persist
Psychological distress can arise from a range of life experiences, including trauma, relational difficulties, and prolonged stress. These experiences may continue to affect emotional regulation, relationships, and daily functioning long after the original events have passed.
Psychotherapy offers a dedicated space to examine these difficulties in a considered and systematic way, supporting increased understanding and more adaptive responses over time.
The Therapeutic Process
Therapy is a collaborative process that focuses on developing insight, emotional awareness, and effective coping strategies. Depending on individual needs and goals, therapeutic work may involve:
Identifying and understanding emotional and behavioral patterns
Processing traumatic or distressing experiences in a contained and clinically appropriate manner
Developing skills for emotional regulation and stability
Restoring a sense of agency and psychological coherence
Supporting long-term psychological adjustment and resilience
All therapeutic work is informed by evidence-based practice and tailored to the individual.
Choosing a Therapist
The therapeutic relationship is a central component of effective therapy, and it is not uncommon for individuals to find that they do not feel equally aligned with every therapist. Differences in approach, communication style, and therapeutic focus can influence whether a particular therapeutic relationship feels appropriate.
For this reason, choosing a therapist is a personal decision. It is important that clients feel able to assess whether a therapist’s approach and professional style align with their expectations and needs. An initial consultation can be a helpful opportunity to explore this.
Therapeutic Approach
My approach is integrative and person-centered, informed by trauma-focused practice. I draw on person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, and psycho dynamic models to support a formulation-driven and flexible therapeutic process.
This integrative framework allows therapeutic work to be adapted to the client’s presentation, needs, and pace, while maintaining clinical clarity and consistency throughout the process.
